Farewell
March 2, 2006

Today is the day that I slipped peacefully from the arms
of my Mom and Dad to the home of the angels.  Our
wonderful family veterinarian Dr. Sheila Mansfield
came to our home and helped lull me to sleep.  As I
fell asleep, my Mom gently stroked me and whispered
in my ear that we would meet again someday.  My Dad
put my ball next to me, and I could feel it rub against
my face. Over the last several days I was not able to see,
because the lymphoma had reached my eye. Miss Lily
was next to me, and I felt happy that she was near.

Thanks so much to everyone who has been my friend, and
has put me in their thoughts and prayers.  Thanks
especially to my veterinarians, Dr. Fulton, Dr. Mansfield,
Dr. Hendee, Dr. Kergosien, Dr. Robbin, Dr. Bras,
Dr. Maurer, and my special Dr. Holly Aldinger.
And thanks also to the wonderful people at Powell Veterinary Clinic and
MedVet Clinic of Worthington, Ohio, especially Colleen, Jay
Donna, and Dawn.

Now I am in a happy place, where blind dogs can see and deaf
dogs can hear. Every dog has four legs and tail. There are no tumors,
scars, or fears.  Everyone here is healthy and whole. I have
many new friends. We play and roll in the grass and have
many balls to chase.

To my Mom and Dad:
I came across a little spot
In a field of grass and heather,
I'll wait for you here as long as I need,
Until we can all be together

Here are photos from the last shoot we had with Dawn.
I must say that Lily doesn't look too thrilled.

They say that dogs look like their owners.
Here I am with my Dad.

Your friend,
