My New Cousin
Molly Marie
Spring 2000
I have a really
good friend named Buffy. She is a Maltese-Cairn Terrier, and is very, very cute.
(She came to my birthday party!)
BUFFY

Buffy's mom is Aunt Cindy. When Aunt Cindy wanted to get another dog to be a buddy to Buffy, she decided to adopt a bichon from SMALL PAWS RESCUE. We called that really nice lady Robin at Small Paws, and found out that she had just gotten six bichons from a puppy mill auction. These bichons had lived most of their lives in a cage and had to produce lots of puppies to earn their keep. But Robin saves them and them gives them to people who open their home to these bichons who have never slept in a bed, who have never played ball, and who probably have never had any REAL fun.
Aunt Cindy decided to adopt Hollie (click here to see HOLLIE right after the auction), but renamed her Molly Marie! We went to the airport with our friend Aunt Shannon and her bichon Theo (he came to my birthday party too!). Aunt Robin had put Molly on an airplane that flew from Tulsa, Oklahoma to Columbus, Ohio. When we saw the man bringing Molly to us in her airline crate, we could see that she was one happy bichon.
Here she comes!

Here she is!

Aunt Cindy is
very happy!

Molly is 3 years old but very, very petite. She can be carried around in one hand! She is
sooo sweet. Heres Molly on her first day with Aunt Cindy!
"Hey, what
is this...grass?"

"Here's my
stitches -- I won't have any more puppies!"

Now she has been
with Aunt Cindy and Buffy
for a while. She has her own fenced yard and her own deck.

Molly invited Kathy
and Levi Strauss
over to her new house

Do you think Molly is happy with
her new mom?

I taught Molly
how to take really good naps!
